International Service Committee of the
Rotary Club of Ashmore Year 2004-5
Director: Ian Wilson.
Team Members: Alan Graham, Margaret Richards, Janelle Jungblut, Michael Highland, Ian Yarker, Heather Yarker.

Project 1- Education.
Objective-To promote and educate our members on International Service especially the projects that the International Committee adopts as club projects for the year.

Project 2-International Toasts.
Objective- To organise weekly International Toasts to a fellow RI member Club and send a postcard to the club or email our Club Bulletin, advising them of the toast. Toasts should include details about the subject club and their region.

Project 3-RAWCS (Rotary Australian World Community Service)

Project 3a Project #85 Indonesia
Objective- Continuation of our Club sponsorship of a student in Indonesia at Salvation Army Homes and promotion of the sponsorship to individual club membership.

Project 3b- Stamps. Objective- Continued collection of stamps for Red Cross Handicapped Centre in Honiara.
Project 3c-Donations in Kind. Objective- Continued collection of medicines, school books and goods for third world countries. Examination of ability to provide funding for a container.

Project 3d- ROMAC. (Rotary Overseas Medical Aid for Children)
Objective- Continued financial report

Project 3e- INTERPLAST.
Objective- To provide funding for the provision of plastic and reconstructive surgery for needy children and adults in developing countries.

Project 4-Rotary Foundation.
Objectives: Make a major contribution to the Rotary Foundation and to educated members on the role of the Foundation and how funds are spent.

Project 4a- Organise Foundation Education Program on October 27th 2004.

Project 4b- Rotary World Peace Scholars.
Objective- Organise two Peace Scholars as guest speakers in joint Group six meeting.

Project 4c- Group Study Exchange.
Objective- To attract applications for team members GSE. Apply to host Inbound team.
Project 4d- Matching Grants.
Objective -To organise a matching grant with our Friendship Clubs, Ashmore, Kyoto Fushimi and Khon Khan for a project related to "Rotarians Against Malaria".

Project 5- Boys Town Farm Khon Khan, Thailand.
Objective- Sponsorship of the education of three high school students in Khon Khan, Thailand.

Project 6 - Children of the Golden Triangle and Primary School at Mai Suai.
Objectives- Under examination.
