A 2022/23 Global Grant Project
The project involves the creation of washrooms in Kok Benh Village Cambodia. Our club will act as co-sponsors of the "2 tank septic system" constructed in the village to protect the ground water from sewage contamination.
The project will :
- improve general hygiene
- be large enough for women to have privacy when washing themselves and children
- allow for women to attend to their sanitary needs
- give safety (internal sliding bolt lock)
- provide for gender equity in Cambodia
Clubs involved incude: Rotary Club of Melbourne, Rotary Club of Brighton North, Rotary Club of Hawthorn, Rotary Club of Central Melbourne, Rotary Club of Chadstone/East Malvern and The Rotary Club of Ashmore.
